Background information:
Ichika is muggle born. Her great-grandmother was a witch with mixed blood (some of her ancestors were pure blood, some half blood). She married a muggle, and had a few children. Ichika's grandmother wasn't a witch, and married a squib. One of their children was a wizard (Ichika's uncle), and the other was her mother, who wasn't a witch. Her mother married a muggle. Ichika is an only child. Her parents didn't know that she was a witch until they got the letter from Hogwarts. At first her parents thought it was some sort of prank, but then her mother recognized it as the same letter her brother had gotten a long time back, and recalled the Hogwarts was the name of the wizarding school he had attended.

Ichika grew up in the muggle world without much knowledge or interaction with magic. Her mother had explained her heritage to her, but it never made their life different than any other muggle's. Except, perhaps, at family reunions. At one of them, one of her cousins (one of the children of her uncle) turned one of the cupcakes into a hedgehog. It startled Ichika, but at the same time she was fascinated with it. Her cousin took the once-cupcake-now-hedgehog home with her. Her father is an architect and her mother is a flower arranger.

Her parents were supportive of her going to Hogwarts, although they 'd miss her while she was gone and were worried about how she'd get along there. Ichika's uncle bought her parents an owl for them to send her letters with. Ichika keeps a barn owl for a pet, and promised her parents to write frequently. Now Ichika is fourteen and in her fourth year at Hogwarts.

Ichika is often seen smiling and likes to hang out with her friends, whom she is very loyal to. She tends to be serious. Her friends tease her for being so serious, which embarrasses her. An example is when she went to a muggle camp, and her friends and her were in the same cabin. They had to clean the cabin, and then study. Her friends cleaned half-heartedly, while Ichika worked hard, and when the teacher came in to say that cleaning time was over, Ichika didn't want to stop because she wasn't finished cleaning yet. They teased her for being so serious like that. ^_^ She also speaks very politely to people. Ichika is sincere and has determination and works hard at whatever she does, though when she's not sure what the right thing to do is she'll falter.

Relationships:

Manatsu Kuroki: Ichika first met Manatsu when Manatsu was coming out of a secret passage in one of the hallways during their fourth year at hogwarts. They were both surprised, and quickly went on their own way. Later, Manatsu gave Ichika one of the kittens from her cat's litter. During the summer after their fourth year, Manatsu came to Ichika's house to visit.

Shuichi Shindo: Ichika met Shuichi in the journals, and when it was his birthday, she gave him a box of chocolate frogs. She thinks he's good at singing. They're beginning to be friends.
